Omnis Review

Omnis Network is a web hosting provider that has been in the business since 1999. With experience of over 8 years it is expected that the products they provide will be the most cost-effective and of the best quality. Let us see how they work out.

On searching the website thoroughly, you find surprisingly little information about the products they offer. The index page of the site informs us that there is a 30 day money back guarantee, 99.9% Uptime guarantee, free Sitebuilder, unlimited subdomains, PHP, Perl or ASP, ASP.NET support, MySql or Access database support, SEO Website Promotion Tool, Email Spam and Virus Monitoring, $50 Microsoft adCenter Credit, $30 Google Adwords Credit, and $50 Yahoo Marketing Credit. They also state that they have web hosting solutions from $5.95 and they offer unlimited disk storage, unlimited data transfer, unlimited email accounts, unlimited hosted domains, and a free domain name. However, they inform you that the free domain name is only available for the first year, and is restricted to TLDs costing $7.95 per year.

On the next page we find further information. They are offering both Linux and Windows hosting. Linux hosting offers reliable and robust services, and the flexibility of PHP and Perl scripting, while with Windows hosting you can avail of ASP and .NET programming and the use of Access databases.

With Linux hosting, you pay $5.95 per month for a 24 month billing cycle, $6.95 per month for 12 months, $7.95 per month for 6 months and $8.95 for 3 months. For Windows hosting, you pay $7.95 per month for a 24 month billing cycle, $8.95 for 12 months, $9.95 for 6 months and $10.95 for 3 months. Nowhere do we get any detailed information as to the individual packages available. I would consider this as a minus point for them, as no one evaluating their choices on the web would probably wish to go any further with this site. I tried to go to their ordering page in the hope that some details would be available, but there too, I had little success. It seems you have to be the owner of a domain name or have to order a new domain, before you can go to the orders page. So, no luck there either.

However, from the Google search page I found a review of of the Omnis Network. Here I found that for the pricing mentioned above for Linux hosting, they offer 15 GB disk space, monthly bandwidth of 250 GB, 2,500 POP3 emails, FTP accounts, MySql Databases, free domain name, subdomains, $25 Yahoo Marketing Credit, $30 Google Adwords Credit, Web Site Builder, 30 days money back guarantee, and 24/7 toll free support. They do not support multiple domains with this plan.

In conclusion, I have to say that this is a very disappointing site, and looking at it from the point of view of a would-be web site owner, this is one site that I would give a miss. After all there are many web hosting service providers, who offer more information and guidance on their sites.
